What We're Playing โ€” October 2026

Published October 2026 ยท By Team Sinigang

A quick confession before we start: gaming around here happens after bedtime. Team Sinigang is run by a working IT guy in Los Angeles with an 8-year-old son, so the controller doesn't come out until homework is done and story time is over. That usually means an hour or two a night. Here's where those hours went this month.

๐Ÿ‘ฟ Diablo IV, and a Lifelong Paladin Habit

I've been playing Paladins for a long time. It started with tabletop D&D and Advanced D&D, carried over into World of Warcraft and a lot of other games since, and now it's Diablo IV. There's something about the holy warrior who wades into the worst of it and comes out swinging that I keep coming back to. So when Blizzard added the Paladin in the Lord of Hatred expansion, that was it for my evenings.

๐Ÿ‘ฟ Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred
Who's playing: Me, nightly, after bedtime

I just finished the Lord of Hatred campaign, which Steam says only about 13% of players have done, at around 116 hours total. I'm running a Disciple Paladin: Blessed Hammer to clear crowds, Consecration when things get rough, and Arbiter of Justice saved for the fights that really matter. The goal right now is level 70. I wrote up the build and everything I've learned in our Diablo IV guide.

Now that the story's done, I'm deciding what's next. It's either another campaign or turning the difficulty up and seeing how long my Paladin survives. Probably both, eventually.

๐ŸŒด On the Horizon: GTA 6

Rockstar has Grand Theft Auto VI slated for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with PC expected later. I'm thinking about it. But with an 8-year-old in the house, GTA is very much an after-bedtime game. Story time comes first, Vice City second.

๐ŸŽฎ New on Sinigaming: Honest Scores

We re-scored every guide this month. The numbers now reflect how much we actually enjoyed each game, not a critic's checklist. That's why Stardew Valley dropped to a 7 (it's lovely, but the daily grind started to feel like a second job) and why Elden Ring stays at a perfect 10. You can now sort the guides by score, by name, or by when we last played them.

The pot keeps simmering. ๐Ÿฒ
